World’s Longest Burp – an impressive 18.1 seconds

The World Burping Federation – Ok, let me stop right there…Yes. There’s actually a World Burping Federation – who according to them, aim to promote “belching best practices.” Just recently, they annouced at a Major League Eating sponsored event, that 36 year old Tim Janus has broken quite possibly one of the most bizarre records – the longest burp. Clocked in at an impressive 18.1 seconds, Janus is very proud of his accomplishment. Check out the video above and see for yourself.

“I’ve been doing this all my life with friends and family in backyards and parking lots, so I’m happy to do it on a stage,” Janus told The Huffington Post. “I’d like to add events in decibel burping and burp-talking as well.”
