Climb Aboard the Longest Motorbike In the World

Colin Furze, A plumber from Linconshire, UK has set the world-record for the longest motorbike ever made. Spanning 72ft in length and seating 25, it’s truly unbelievable that this 125cc Moped can travel in upwards of 35mph.

Built in his mother’s back garden, Furze spent about 2 months putting together one and a half mopeds and an extended aluminum frame to make up this epic hog. “When I first got on it I thought it would never work and at a slow speed it’s almost impossible to keep upright. – But once you get going it becomes a bit easier, although it is a real strain on your arms as it has such heavy steering.”

With Guiness World Records in mind, he has continually been making improvements on the frame and on the suspension to have it ready to submit for the inclusion as a world record holder.

The requirements set forth were for him to drive the motorbike a little over half a mile (100 meters) – surprizingly, Furze was able to drive it over a full mile. Congratulations Colin on your new World Record!

  1. Well, as you can see, you can’t drive it with people on it, you need a wooden block in the center for support, but still cool nonetheless.

  2. I don’t think this is Ripley’s worthy.

Really, all this guy has done is chopped a scooter in half and added many feet of aluminum trussing (the same stuff used for lighting rigs). Then he’s put some seats and banners on the whole mess.

It’s barely drivable without people and completely useless with people on it.

Being a scooter driver for many years, this gets my thumbs.
