Inflatable Jewelry

For the girl who thinks her jewelry is too heavy, check out this inflatable line of accruements. Entitled P.F.D: Personal Floatation Devices, by artist Jolene Carley McClelland

From the Artist:
This body of work gives an alternative to the mundane floatation device. By capturing air as a main material, I have created forms that can be worn on the body, and at the same time exist as sculptural objects in themselves. Through the use of common materials and recycled elements adapted from pre-existing water toys and inflatables, I have created playful mutations that cross the poolside P.F.D with wearable sculpture. This is the P.F.D (personal floatation device) for adornment as well as function, breathing life into new jewellery forms.
