The Knock Clock was created by three Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design students in a 48 hour competition, the unique timepiece tells you the time of day after you knock on the top twice. The clock even has an alarm function. Check out the video to see the clock in action.

no way…..I want to see the inside….
Hi Dave,
Glad you find our prototype interesting, at least!
If you’re interested in seeing the ‘insides’, there’s some photos on my portfolio page at http://www.antlersandanchors.ca (just look for the ‘Knock Clock’ link under ‘CIID Summer School’).
If you’re interested in knowing more about those components, google around for info about the ‘Arduino’ project and physical computing in general. There’s so many amazing ideas out there to be inspired by.
Best,
Michael
So this raps the hour and then the minutes in increments? I hope it comes with instructions. Nice timepiece for the vision impaired.
Wonder if it can account for DST : )
Cool, but not efficient. :/ And that noise would get annoying after a while.
Hmmm hard to tell but i think its real.
