This Is How You Play With Your Food

I’m always impressed by amazing feats of baking (especially since the last cake I attempted was awash with failure…also apparently too much butter in the icing). When I see a cake that not only looks cool, but has a function beyond that of cake, you know I have to share it with you guys. It’s become a family tradition that I make increasingly ridiculous birthday cakes for my kids each year. So with my little boy Ben turning 6-years-old over the weekend, and appreciating his love of Angry Birds, I thought I’d have a shot a making him a playable Angry Birds birthday cake with working catapult and iced birds as ammunition.
