    • 1. Valley Creek Elementary School in Texas assembled a record-breaking friendship bracelet. The class started on November 7 and completed the 2,795-foot, 9-inch bracelet on March 3! 2. The orange-fronted conure, a parrot native to Central and South America, mimics the calls of other flock members to get their attention! 3. U.K.-based artist Helga Stentzel uses clever placement and perspective to create whimsical portraits out of mundane items like clothes and clotheslines. 4. To relieve the joint pain of Helmuth, a 220-pound African spurred tortoise, and facilitate movement, zoo officials in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, fitted him with a roller board.
