MINI BELIEVE IT OR NOT –

There’s a day for everything, and today is National Jelly Bean day! In celebration here are some jelly bean BIONs:

  • Jelly Belly beans first appeared in stores in the summer of 1976
  • It takes 7-14 days to make one Jelly Belly Jelly Bean
  • 3 ½ tons of Jelly Belly beans were shipped to the White House for the Presidential Inaugural festivities in 1981
  • The first Jelly bean was created by an unknown American candy maker in the 1800s
  • In the early 20th century, men who put forth great effort to dress stylishly were called Jelly Beans
  • There are 16 billion jelly beans manufactured solely for Easter (enough to circle the Earth 3 times)
