French cyclist François Gissy hit 163 mph on a mountain bike!

François hit a whopping 163 miles per hour (263 km/h) while riding a self-built mountain bike along an abandoned runway in northeastern France in May 2013.

A small rocket, obviously.
He achieved the astonishing speed by attaching a hydrogen peroxide-powered rocket to the frame of the machine, creating temperatures of 650°F (343°C) and a gas-flow velocity of more than 1,000 meters per second (or 2237 miles per hour) to give the bike its powerful thrust!
