See Science in Action

Myrtle Beach is Ripley’s hub for scientific research. The Marine Science Research Center made waves in spring 2022 by producing the world’s first successful birth by artificial insemination of a sand tiger shark, advancing research and species survival. Named “Rip” after the company’s founder, Robert LeRoy Ripley, this pup marked a significant step for its species around the world.
