Curating Curiosity Since 1918

Robert Ripley Ripley's Collection Ripley's Aquariums

Built upon the adventures of Robert Ripley and his travels across the globe searching for extraordinary people, unusual artifacts, and unbelievable things, Ripley’s embraces the spirit of discovery.

Since 1918, we’ve been curating curiosity, beginning with stories to fill newspaper cartoons and books, and evolving to an exhibit collection of over 30,000 unique pieces featured at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! attractions and a living collection of marine and terrestrial animals at Ripley’s Aquariums. Through these experiences and stories, we strive to curate a sense of wonder for the weird world around us. So, step inside — explore our story and what makes Ripley’s just as unique as the artifacts, animals, and amazing stories we celebrate!
