Safety Measures

A Safe Experience For You

Upon entering Ripley’s Attraction, you will immediately notice changes—from the precisely placed social distancing markers in line to reduced contact. Our staff has also been extensively educated to provide you with a safe experience.

Each Ripley Attraction is unique, and ours maintain the following requirements:

  • Starting November 4, 2021, a Los Angeles city ordinance requires proof of full vaccination from individuals eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, along with a valid identification card, to enter our facilities.
  • Mandatory mask or face covering enforcement for all team members and guests ages two and up unless the guest has a medical condition that inhibits their ability to wear a mask
  • Reduced capacity to help control crowds
  • Limited contact with guests, from protective barriers to encouraging cashless payments
  • Following social distancing guidelines
  • Consistent sanitization schedule for all kiosks, interactives, restrooms, and surfaces
  • Sanitization stations throughout the Attraction

At Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Hollywood, we believe the health of our staff, guests, and community comes first, and this is a responsibility that all of us share. This is especially important for the safety of children under 12, who at this time cannot be vaccinated.

  • Guests aged 12 and over must show digital or paper proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19, along with a valid identification card.
  • Fully vaccinated means you received your final dose at least 14 days prior to the date of entry.
  • If you qualify for an exemption due to a medical condition or restriction or due to a sincerely held religious belief, then you must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test and a valid identification card prior to entry.
  • Children ages 11 and under are exempt from the above rules for entry, provided they are accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

Valid forms of proof of vaccination include:

  • COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date doses administered
  • WHO Yellow Card which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date doses administered
  • A photo of a Vaccination Record Card as a separate document
  • A photo of a Vaccination Record Card stored on a phone or electronic device
  • Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider
  • Digital record that includes a QR code that when scanned by a SMART Health Card reader that displays guest name, date of birth, vaccine dates, and vaccine type
  • Documentation of vaccination from other contracted employers who follow these vaccination records guidelines and standards.

Forms of Valid Identification Cards:

  • Driver’s license
  • Government-issued ID
  • School or work ID
  • Passport

If a guest cannot provide proof of vaccination/medical exemption, any admission tickets purchased will be refunded through the original methods of payment. Please contact for any ticket-related inquiries.

We ask for your patience as we implement these new safety guidelines. We also ask that guests continue to be kind and safe — especially to our staff who are complying with protocols required by the City of Los Angeles.

  • If you or any member of your party is not feeling well, please plan to come at another time.
