Ripley’s loves astonishing people, like Unarmed Barbie, who overcome their disabilities and do amazing things.
Mariusz Kedzierski is a Polish artist from Świdnica. He uses pencil and paper as a medium to create realistic portraits, and calling him amazing is an understatement. He’s talented, predominately self-taught, and is actively working to spread a message of endurance and overcoming all odds.
His skill makes him amazing in his own right, but when you take into account that he is an armless artist, it elevates his talent to another level! Check out this video of him working.
He’s been drawing since he was three, with a brief break in the middle. His art is bought all over the world, and has even been featured on CD covers. He took the second prize in the “Best Global Artist” category from Global Art Agency, and his work has been featured in multiple exhibitions. He’s clearly done a lot for a 23-year-old, but his accomplishments don’t stop there; Kedzierski has traveled through Europe, visiting places like London, Paris, Vince, and Barcelona, and making his art in public so that people can see him and be inspired.
But for me disability doesn’t mean that I can’t live my own, great life. It doesn’t mean that I have to forget my dreams.
