Koi-Shaped Sushi

From the Oita prefecture tourist board

It’s all the rage in Japan, both beautiful and tasty!

You could hop on a plane and drop by the Nishikizushi Sushi Shop in Saiki, Japan for about $6.70 a piece, but why not try it at home?

Rachel and Jun, an American and Japanese couple, host the YouTube channel Jun’s Kitchen, where they explain Japanese customs to westerners.

They’ve put together an instructional video on making your own koi-shaped sushi. (With the help of their cat of course!)

Ingridients:

  • Cucumber
  • Cherry Radish
  • Seaweed
  • Spicy cod roe
  • Octopus
  • Shrimp

Once you’ve cooked the rice and cut the vegetables and fish, the process is pretty simple. Try it out!
