MINI BELIEVE IT OR NOT –
Pigs are physically incapable of looking up towards the sky from a standing position.
- Most animals evolve in a way that optimizes getting food and escaping predators
- A pig’s food is down low
- The anatomy of a pig’s neck makes it very difficult to bend backwards
- They can look up, but can’t bend their necks enough to gaze at the sky the same way humans do
- They can, however, roll on their backs and look up
“BIONs” – short for Believe It or Not – is the word we use at Ripley’s to refer to anything that is unbelievable and worthy to become part of Ripley’s lore and collection.
