Stunning Landscape Portraits Made From Fresh Food
Carl Warner is a Liverpudlian with a very unique eye for landscape photography. However, Carl does not capture iconic landscapes through traditional photography. Rather, Carl stages his landscapes using everyday foods.
Just another day at the market
“Although I’m very hands on with my work, I do use model makers and food stylists to help me create the sets. I tend to start with a drawing which I sketch out in order to get the composition worked out, this acts as a blue print for the team to work to.”Carl photographs his scenes in his London studio. He stages the photos in layers and pieces them together in post-production.
Carl calls his work Foodscapes. It takes a few days per photo shoot. The food wilts very quickly under the hot lights, so he has to work fast to get his shots in!
The final result is a stunning landscape that you can’t believe is made from real food!
