One of these were hand drawn
We love realistic art at Ripley’s! We’ve featured it in our blog here, here, and even here
Jose Antonio Lopez Vergara’s work is certainly worthy of appearing alongside these artists who make us utter our favorite word:“UNBELIEVABLE!”
Vergara, aka Redosking, drew the eye of fellow artist Dino Tomic as part of Tomic’s Eye Competition. Tomic challenged artists to send them their best drawing of his eye.
To make this piece, Vergara used:
- Prismacolor pencils,
- White gel pen,
- Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen (black)
- Strathmore Toned-Tan Paper
My favorite part of this piece is that he photographed his progress step-by-step.

That’s because you’re a complete idiot who lacks any real sense.
You’re welcome.
That drawing is freaking amazing and anyone who doesn’t think so is also an idiot.
Get a life and give credit where its due . . .you sound just like a teenager.
This is amazing! Very talented.
The amount of detail is incredible! It is amazing how you contrasted between wet in the eye and dry in the skin.
Did anyone notice there is a person in the pupal of the drawn eye?
