Did You Catch The Oddest Gift?
Vampire Breast Lift Anyone?

Kim-Kardashian-Vampire-Face-Lift

Kim Kardashian getting a Vampire Face lift

Developed by the people behind the Vampire FaceLift, the procedure has been gaining attention and popularity since Kim Kardashian was seen having it done.

The procedure starts with roughly two teaspoons worth of blood drawn from the patient. Using a centrifuge, the physician takes about 10-minutes to isolate platelets from the blood. Platelets have general healing properties and can renew tissue.

Once those healing properties are activated, the platelets are injected back into the patient. The outcome is that old skin, either on the face or around the bust area, will be renewed, smoothed, and firmed by the body’s natural healing abilities.

The Vampire process is said to be safer, healthier, and more natural than other cosmetic surgeries. It does not include any foreign substances being injected or implanted into the body, and it doesn’t require any major surgery.

Back to the Oscars

There’s controversy surrounding the gifts, but it’s not what you may think. While the Academy may not condemn the items in the gift bags, they do object to these gift bags being handed out in their name.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has nothing to do with these gift bags. The bags themselves are created and marketed by a company Distinctive Assets. And, according to a lawsuit filed by the Academy, the company is in violation of trademark infringement and dilution and false advertising. The Academy wants the gift bags to stop and damages equal to three times whatever profits are realized from sales of the bags.

With the Oscars airing Sunday, February 28th, it seems like the Academy doesn’t want anything pulling news away from the event itself. And nothing can draw focus away from an award ceremony like the nominees being asked on the Red Carpet just how much of their blood has been injected into their breasts.
