See Marilyn Monroe’s Iconic “Happy Birthday” Dress at Ripley’s Grand Prairie

Marilyn Monroe is stepping back into the spotlight at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Grand Prairie.

In celebration of what would have been the Hollywood icon’s 100th birthday, guests can experience a limited-time display featuring the legendary Marilyn Monroe “Happy Birthday” dress and memorabilia connected to her unforgettable life and legacy.

Born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1, 1926, Marilyn became one of entertainment’s most recognizable icons. One of her most famous moments came in 1962, when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy while wearing a sparkling Jean Louis dress covered in more than 6,000 hand-sewn rhinestones.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment purchased the dress in 2016 for $4.8 million, making it the most expensive dress ever sold at auction.

Included with admission, this limited-time display gives guests the chance to get up close with a piece of Hollywood history while exploring hundreds of rare artifacts, unusual exhibits, and hands-on interactives at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Grand Prairie.

Whether you’re a lifelong Marilyn fan, a lover of classic Hollywood, or searching for something unforgettable to do this summer, don’t miss this limited-time display.
