1. A 26-sided shape is known as a rhombicuboctahedron. 2. A newly identified species of bee called Bombus tibeticus buzzes around the Tibetan Plateau 18,500 feet (about 3.5 miles) above sea level. Submitted by Nate Westbury, Minneapolis, MN. 3. Gastrodia agnicellus, dubbed "the world's ugliest orchid," resembles an open, gaping mouth. Submitted by Nate Westbury, Minneapolis, MN. 4. Jonathan Ceplecha, 59-year-old Army veteran of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, survived on rainwater and plants for four days after being pinned under a log while clearing trees on his secluded property.
